Spirited IT, by design
Alebrije Digital Services was founded in 2013 with a simple goal: bring the rigor of enterprise IT to organizations that have been underserved by their providers. From our home office in Broomfield, Colorado, we serve clients across five states with a team that picks up the phone, owns problems end-to-end, and writes things down so the next person knows what happened.
Who we work with
Our customers fall into five buckets, each with their own rhythm and constraints. Businesses look for partners who understand that downtime costs money and culture. Local governments need transparency, predictable costs, and IT that respects taxpayer dollars. Counties juggle dozens of departments under one umbrella. State agencies operate under audit, with documentation expectations that match. And federal customers hold us to the highest bar of all, with compliance-driven engagements where every change is logged and every choice is justified.
What we do
Most of our work falls into seven service lines: managed IT, custom software, networking, cybersecurity, cloud and backup, web and branding, and digital preservation. The last of these has grown into a practice of its own. Drone imaging, photo and document scanning, large-format and map scanning, fragile and historic document handling, and recovery of data trapped on legacy media. Museums, libraries, historical societies, and government archives have all become regular customers.
What makes us different
We are stack agnostic. We build software in whatever language fits the job, from PHP and Python to C# and Go. We deploy networks from Cisco to Ubiquiti to MikroTik. We scan with conservator-aware workflows. The point is not the brand. The point is whether it serves the customer and the artifact.
The name
An alebrije is a Mexican folk-art creature, a hand-carved hybrid of impossible parts that somehow works as a whole. That is how good IT feels when it is done right. Wildly varied components, brought together with care, that look like they were always meant to be that way.
