Cloud & Backup
Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud deployments. Backup strategy, disaster recovery runbooks, and business continuity that gets tested.
Cloud that fits the work, not the brochure
Cloud is not a destination. It is a set of trade-offs: cost, control, complexity, performance, and recoverability. We help organizations make the trade-offs intentionally, not because their last vendor told them to "go to the cloud" without saying which one or why.
What we do
Microsoft 365
Tenant deployment, migration from on-premises Exchange, configuration of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and the rest. Security baselines, conditional access, data loss prevention, and the dozens of settings that ship at default and need to be changed. License optimization so you are not paying for E5 when E3 with Defender add-ons would do the job.
Cloud platform deployments
AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud workloads. Architectures designed for the workload (not for a vendor case study). Infrastructure as code where it makes sense; click-ops where the workload is too small to justify the overhead. Cost monitoring from day one because cloud bills are mysterious until you make them not.
Migrations
From on-premises to cloud, from one cloud to another, from one productivity suite to another. Discovery, planning, cutover, and post-migration cleanup. We do the boring work of making sure email flows, documents are accessible, and integrations still work.
Backup strategy
Backup is the word people use; recovery is what they actually need. We design backup so the restore works. Multiple copies, at least one offline. Tested restores at a documented cadence. Different retention periods for different data classes. Specific attention to ransomware scenarios, where the backup is sometimes encrypted along with everything else if it isn't air-gapped.
Disaster recovery
RTO and RPO targets that match what the business actually requires (not "we need everything in five minutes"). Runbooks for the failure modes you actually face. Tabletop exercises so the runbook is not the first thing someone reads when the office is on fire. We have walked clients through real recoveries; we know which assumptions break under pressure.
Business continuity
The non-IT side: who calls whom, where the team works if the building is unavailable, how customer-facing communication happens during an incident. We help write the plan, run the drill, and update it when things change.
How engagements work
Cloud projects are scoped fixed-fee from a discovery and proposal phase. Backup and DR work is usually built into our managed services agreements but can also be done as a standalone project. We do not lock you into a particular cloud or backup vendor. We pick what fits and document it so you can change later if you need to.
Who this is for
Organizations that depend on availability and have something at stake when systems go down. Public-sector clients with legal continuity requirements. Healthcare practices with patient-care implications. Construction and manufacturing where downtime equals payroll. And any business that has experienced a serious outage and decided not to do that again.
