Custom Software & Development
Web apps, desktop tools, mobile apps, automations, scripts, and integrations. We build in whatever language fits the job.
Software that fits your work
Off-the-shelf software gets you eighty percent of the way there. The remaining twenty is where your business actually lives, and that's where custom development pays for itself. We build the missing piece, the integration that closes the gap, the automation that recovers an hour a day.
What we build
Web applications
Internal tools, customer portals, dashboards, intake forms, scheduling systems, and document workflows. We build for the browser because that's where people work. Authentication, authorization, audit logging, and accessibility are baked in, not bolted on.
Desktop applications
For workflows that don't fit a browser. Shop floor tools, kiosk applications, technician utilities, and data-entry interfaces that need to work offline or talk to local hardware. C# on Windows, Electron when cross-platform matters.
Mobile applications
iOS and Android, native or React Native depending on what fits. We tend to build mobile when there is a real reason to be mobile: field service, inventory in motion, photo capture, signature workflows. Not for the sake of having an app.
Automations and integrations
The scripts and pipelines that make systems talk to each other. Importing data from one system into another. Generating reports on a schedule. Watching for events and triggering actions. The kind of work that takes 40 hours of someone's time per week until it doesn't.
Custom internal tools
Sometimes the right answer is a small, focused tool that does one thing well. We've built form builders, content managers, ticketing systems, asset trackers, and reporting dashboards for clients whose needs were specific enough that no SaaS option fit cleanly.
How we work
Languages and frameworks
We are stack agnostic. We build in PHP (Laravel), Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI), C# (.NET), Go, Node (Express, Next.js), and other languages where the job calls for it. We pick the tool that fits the work, not the other way around.
Code as infrastructure
Everything we build is version controlled, tested, and documented. We use the same source control practices for a one-week script as for a six-month application. The next person who has to touch the code, even if that person is you, will be able to read it.
Hosted or self-hosted
We deploy to your cloud, your servers, our hosting, or anywhere else that fits your compliance and budget needs. We document the deployment so handoffs are clean.
How engagements work
Most projects start with a discovery week. We talk to the people who will use the software, look at how the work is done today, and write a scoping document with cost and timeline. Then we build, with weekly check-ins so you can see progress and course-correct.
Who this is for
Anyone whose business depends on a workflow that no shrink-wrapped product covers cleanly. Government agencies with public-records or constituent-facing requirements. Construction firms with field-to-office handoffs. Professional services with bespoke billing. Researchers with data that needs structure. Cultural institutions with collection management.
