Announcing our digital preservation and imaging practice
For the past several years, we have quietly done preservation and imaging work for a handful of customers. A historical society needed thousands of photographs scanned. A county wanted aerial documentation of road conditions before snow. A family came to us with a box of 5.25-inch floppies holding their grandfather's writing. We took on the projects, learned the craft, and shipped good work.
This week we are formalizing the practice. Digital preservation and imaging is now a named service line alongside managed IT, custom software, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, and web. The team has grown to support it. The equipment list is real. The workflows are documented.
What we do
- Drone imaging and aerial mapping. FAA Part 107 certified pilots, photogrammetry, orthomosaics, and survey-grade outputs.
- Photo scanning. Prints, negatives, slides, transparencies. Archive-quality capture, color correction, dust cleaning, and metadata.
- Document scanning. Loose paper, bound volumes, ledgers. Searchable OCR PDFs and TIFF preservation masters.
- Map and large-format scanning. Up to 60 inches wide. GeoTIFF where coordinates apply.
- Legacy media digitization. Floppies, optical media, magnetic tape, and the surprises in between.
- Fragile and historic document handling. Conservator-aware workflows. We tell you when something belongs in conservation first.
Who it is for
Museums, libraries, historical societies, and government archives. Surveyors, real estate professionals, insurance adjusters, and construction firms. Families with a lifetime of memories sitting in a closet. Different audiences, same standards.
